The “New” Newlywed Game – Oh Yes Really!

The Ocean City, Maryland Parrothead Club held a fabulous fundraising event on January 14th, 2010 at Seacrets USA to benefit the “Message of Hope Cancer Fund, Inc.”

Now the premise of this fundraiser was quite interesting to put it mildly.  Four local couples put themselves on the line to answer some pretty tough questions. It was set up in the venue of the old time long running show the Newlywed Game.  Now our participants were not exactly newlyweds…but their hearts are in the right places, helping to raise funds for the “Message of Hope”.

Meredith McNerney is the founder of Message of Hope Cancer fund, and she is also a cancer survivor. She shared some heartwarming stories of how our donations have helped local Ocean City residents and their families. Our host for the evening was Larry Manoly, an Ocean City, Parrothead member.

All of the contestants were candid and super funny. (Some more then most). Newlywed Game Cancer Fund Raiser – Ocean City, Maryland (watch the video). It’s all said and done in good fun and remember to benefit a very worthwhile charity. My personal congratulations to all who organized, participated and donated to the cause.
