Every year our local Blood Bank of Delmarva holds their annual blood drive. This year it is January 19 -20, 2009 at the Ocean City, Maryland Convention Center located on 40th and Coastal Highway.  You can just walk in from 10am – 6pm on January 19th or 9am – 5pm on January 20th, or you can call (410)749-4161 to make an appointment.

“Make a Difference – Give Blood”

An old man walked up a shore littered with a thousand starfish, beached and dying after a storm.  A young man was picking them up and flinging them back into the ocean. “Why do you bother?” the old man scoffed.  “You’re not saving enough to make a difference.”  The young man picked up another starfish and sent it spinning back into the water.  “Made a difference to that one,” he said.
