I love where I live. We have such wonderful residents. Friday night I had the honor and the privilege to attend the inaugural benefit performance for the OCCAAB (Ocean City Cultural Arts Advisory Board).

“Home For The Holidays”, was a fabulous jazz performance held at the infamous Seacrets, with Gregg Karukas, Shannon Ford and Steve Zerlin and featuring the vocals of Shelby Flint. (Shelby is the voice behind the original Charlie Brown Snoopy Come Home Special and The Rescuers soundtracks). The evening was a resounding success.

This wonderful group is cultivating and sculpting a new vision for Cultural Arts in Ocean City. They are working to develop a Visual Art and Performing Arts facility. Many supporters attended from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia, who are now Charter Patrons of OCCAAB.

The thank you list of local businesses and individuals is long. I would like to extend my personal thanks to the many who worked so hard to put this wonderful evening together, and who continue to work to provide a home for musical, theatrical, cultural and educational groups.
