Investing in a resort condominium in Ocean City as a second home can make a great deal of sense for a lot of reasons. There’s a great way of life; rental income possibility; outstanding tax benefits; and all the joys of ownership in that equity builds up as the mortgage is reduced.
Also there is the iunique marketing wrinkle in selling condominiums. It’s called the “turn-key” operation and it is particualiury popular in resort areas. When you purchase a brand new condominium it comes completely firnished and ready to move into. Many potential buyers can afford the down payment but simply do not have enough ready cash to bear the cost of furnishing it. In some cases, the buyer simply does not have either the time nor the inclination to furnish a second home. As the expression implies, all you need to do is turn the key and move right in!
